Description:

As a Retail Merchandise Associate at Ross Stores, you will be an integral part of creating an engaging and well-organized shopping experience for our customers. This role focuses on the flow of merchandise from receiving to the sales floor, ensuring products are readily available, attractively displayed, and accurately priced. You will directly contribute to driving sales and customer satisfaction by maintaining visual standards and supporting efficient store operations. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to learn about the retail environment and develop skills in merchandising and inventory management within a dynamic off-price setting.

Responsibilities:

• Receive, unpack, and process new merchandise shipments efficiently and accurately.
• Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, ticketed, and prepared for placement on the sales floor.
• Implement and maintain visual merchandising standards to create appealing product presentations.
• Organize and arrange merchandise displays according to company guidelines and store layout.
• Replenish sales floor inventory promptly to ensure continuous product availability for customers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe sales floor and backroom environment.
• Assist customers with locating merchandise and answering basic product inquiries.
• Collaborate with store team members to achieve sales goals and maintain efficient operations.
• Participate in inventory counts and assist with identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including loss prevention and safety guidelines.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
• Physical ability to lift, bend, and move merchandise as needed.
• Flexibility to work a schedule that meets the needs of the business, including evenings and weekends as required.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn about retail merchandising.
