Overnight Stock Associate

Description:

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Overnight Stock Associates to play a crucial role in ensuring our stores are well-stocked and ready for our customers each morning. This position is vital to the smooth operation of our retail locations, involving the efficient and accurate unloading, processing, and stocking of merchandise during the overnight hours. The Overnight Stock Associate will work independently and as part of a team to prepare the sales floor for a successful business day.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently and safely unload merchandise from delivery trucks.
• Accurately unpack, sort, and process new inventory according to company guidelines.
• Stock merchandise onto shelves, racks, and displays in designated store areas.
• Organize and maintain the back stockroom to ensure efficient retrieval of merchandise.
• Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and free of clutter before store opening.
• Assist in preparing merchandise for sales events and promotions.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and store management regarding inventory and stocking progress.
• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks safely and efficiently (training provided).
• Maintain a high level of accuracy while handling and stocking merchandise.

Requirements:

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and move merchandise (up to a specified weight limit).
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Must be able to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in stockroom or warehouse operations is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience operating pallet jacks or other warehouse equipment.
• Familiarity with retail stocking procedures.
