Description:

As a Full-Time Stock Associate at Ross Stores, you will be an essential part of our store team, contributing directly to the efficient flow of merchandise and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. This role offers a hands-on environment where you will utilize your organizational skills to support the store's operational needs. You will be key in maintaining a well-organized stockroom, processing new arrivals, and ensuring merchandise is readily available on the sales floor. Your efforts will directly impact the overall efficiency and customer satisfaction within our thriving off-price retail setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, unload, and unpack merchandise shipments, verifying accuracy against packing slips.
  • Organize and maintain the stockroom in a neat, efficient, and accessible manner.
  • Process merchandise, including tagging, ticketing, and preparing items for the sales floor.
  • Replenish sales floor merchandise promptly and accurately to ensure product availability.
  • Assist in visual merchandising tasks by arranging and displaying merchandise as directed.
  • Support inventory control processes by participating in cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in the stockroom and back areas.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and store leadership regarding inventory levels and needs.
  • Assist customers with locating merchandise when needed, providing helpful and friendly service.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and move merchandise, up to a specified weight.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work a full-time schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in a retail stockroom or similar role.
  • Familiarity with inventory management practices.
