Description:
As a Retail Stock Assistant at Ross Stores, you will be an essential part of the store's daily operations, focusing on maintaining an organized and efficient flow of merchandise. This role involves ensuring that the sales floor is consistently stocked, visually appealing, and ready for our customers. You will work closely with the store team to receive, process, and organize incoming shipments, as well as replenish merchandise on the sales floor and in stockrooms. Your attention to detail and efficiency will directly contribute to a positive shopping experience for our customers and the overall success of the store. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload new merchandise shipments, verifying quantities and checking for any damages.
- Accurately process and tag all incoming merchandise according to company standards.
- Organize and maintain the stockroom in a neat, orderly, and accessible manner.
- Replenish merchandise on the sales floor, ensuring all sizes and styles are available for customers.
- Assist with visual merchandising tasks, ensuring merchandise is presented attractively and according to guidelines.
- Support the store team in locating and retrieving merchandise for customers.
- Maintain awareness of inventory levels and communicate any low stock situations to the appropriate team members.
- Assist with inventory counts and audits as needed.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment in both the stockroom and on the sales floor.
- Collaborate effectively with other store team members to achieve store goals.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise, up to a specified weight.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
