Join our Heart of House team as a Kitchen Prep and Salad Bar specialist, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and the appealing presentation of our renowned Garden Bar. This multifaceted position involves preparing a variety of fresh ingredients essential for our menu items, as well as setting up, maintaining, and breaking down the Garden Bar and dishwashing station in accordance with Ruby Tuesday's established procedures, safety guidelines, and stringent sanitation standards.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not mandatory.
• Must possess the physical capability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 70 pounds, potentially up to 20 times during a shift, including placing these items on elevated shelving and in cold storage areas.
• Ability to remain standing for the entirety of your scheduled shift is required.
• Comfort working in environments that may be damp and experience elevated temperatures.
• May be required to operate kitchen equipment such as slicers and other machinery.
• Dexterity to handle kitchen tools (knives, pans, etc.) for extended periods, with items weighing up to 5 pounds.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays is necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the cleanliness of all food preparation and production zones as per established protocols.
• Thoroughly wash and prepare fresh produce (fruits and vegetables) for peeling, dicing, shredding, or slicing using both manual kitchen utensils and electrical equipment, always adhering to Ruby Tuesday's safety regulations.
• Accurately measure and assemble both raw and cooked ingredients according to Ruby Tuesday's standardized recipes and menu specifications.
• Execute specific cleaning tasks and maintain the organization of your assigned station, including, but not limited to, the walk-in refrigeration units, prep areas, and dry storage spaces.
• Ensure the highest standards of quality in the preparation and visual appeal of all food items presented on the Garden Bar.
• Prepare food with a focus on minimizing waste and spoilage, while consistently upholding high quality and strict food safety protocols. Regularly stock and replenish items on the Garden Bar to ensure guests always have access to a fully supplied selection.
• Clean and maintain both carpeted and non-carpeted flooring areas in accordance with Ruby Tuesday's cleanliness standards and procedures.
• Conduct regular checks and maintain the cleanliness, stocking, and sanitation of all restroom facilities.
• Clean, roll, and unroll kitchen floor mats as needed.
• Collect and dispose of any trash or debris around the exterior of the restaurant, including sweeping walkways and cleaning the back dock area.
• Bag and transport dish room trash to the designated dumpster at scheduled intervals.
• Take ownership of the setup, cleanliness, and overall organization of your designated work area before, during, and after each shift.
• Adhere to the Heart of House (HOH) Cleaning Program and AM Utility Programs diligently.
• Undertake any other responsibilities as directed by management.
