Shift Leader

Description:

As a Shift Leader at Ruby Tuesday, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our restaurant during your scheduled shifts. This dynamic position involves guiding and supporting team members, maintaining operational standards, and fostering a positive environment for both our staff and guests. You will be instrumental in upholding Ruby Tuesday's commitment to quality food and exceptional service.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds on a recurring basis.
• Capable of standing and walking for extended periods throughout your shift.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, which may include varying temperatures.
• Experience with basic kitchen equipment and tools is beneficial.
• Ability to handle and manipulate kitchen utensils and equipment safely.
• Must possess the flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in directing and coordinating the activities of the kitchen and service teams during your shift.
• Ensure adherence to food preparation and presentation standards to maintain Ruby Tuesday's quality.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas, including food prep stations, service areas, and dining spaces.
• Support team members in their tasks and provide guidance as needed to ensure efficient workflow.
• Assist in resolving guest concerns and ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Contribute to maintaining proper inventory levels and minimizing waste.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures.
• Conduct regular checks of restrooms to ensure they are clean, stocked, and well-maintained.
• Assist with basic cleaning tasks as needed to maintain the overall appearance of the restaurant.
• Support opening and closing procedures as required for your shift.
• Ensure the work area is properly set up, organized, and cleaned before, during, and after each shift.
• Follow established operational procedures and guidelines.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management to support the overall success of the restaurant.
